Meal Planning

Sunday meals are very heavy, which is why they are only prepared on special occasions.  Don't worry.  I have a plan for the rest of the week.

Meal planning is one task that can make or break your week. As a mother, meal planning can save you a whole lot of stress come dinner time.

Meal planning is also a lifesaver and if it is new to you or you have gotten out of the habit, I’m here to help! You need meal planning in your life! Here’s why:

MEAL PLANNING SAVES YOU TIME

With a plan, you know just what you are going to make so you can get right into the kitchen and get it done.  With a shopping list, you won't be tempted to wander aisles and picking up items you really don't need.

MEAL PLANNING SAVES YOU MONEY

You can plan around sales.  In the Dallas Forth Worth metroplex, our sales start on Wednesday.  Weekly planning is key to saving time and money when it comes to feeding your family. Without a plan it’s so easy to just grab fast food or order take-out.

MEAL PLANNING MAKES YOUR LIFE EASIER

When my kids were younger and I worked full time, I prepared my meals for the week.  I Back then I had to drop off the kids at the daycare at 6:00 a.m. because I had to clock in at 6:30 a.m.   The daycare didn't serve food until 7:00 a.m., which meant they were hungry, so I started purchasing microwavable breakfast items   With three kids under the age of five, I needed a plan, and meal planning was a no brainer.  After church on Sunday, I would cook three meals.  One meal just for Sunday.  The other two meals were for the rest of week.  We would switch between the two meals to avoid leftover burn out.   This is the biggest reason for having a meal plan.  It simplifies your life.  I want to alleviate stress in your life by compiling full meals that you can prepare.
